Public Hearings Notice - Community Development Block Grant Project
The Boscawen Board of Selectmen will hold three consecutive public hearings on Wednesday, July 11, 2018, at 5:30 p.m., at the Town Offices, 116 North Main Street, Boscawen, New Hampshire. Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds are available to municipalities through the NH Community Development Finance Authority. Up to $500,000 annually is available for Economic development projects; up to $500,000 for public facility and housing projects; up to $500,000 in emergency grants; and up to $12,000 is available for each planning grant. All projects must primarily benefit low and moderate income persons. The subjects of the public hearings are as follows:
- A proposed CDBG application to the Community Development Finance Authority for up to $500,000 in Community Development Block Grant funds to be used for water system improvements at Woody Hollow Manufactured Housing Cooperative, a 30 unit manufactured housing park located at 100 Elm Street in Boscawen. The majority of the residences in the park are of low or moderate income.
